Tristan’s Blessing & Family Reunion (7mo)

Filed under: Tristan — hannayumi @ 1:53 pm

We’ve been so busy lately that I had to skip the 6.5 months post. So get ready to see a load of photos because lots of things have happened in this past month.

on the 26th of September, Tristan received his name blessing at church. We timed it to be right during the Clarke Family Reunion so more family could be part of this special event in Tristan’s life. He was dressed up in a suit made by Courtney Leon. He was so cute!!! And he behaved very well while his father was blessing him. Tate did a great job, his words brought tears to my eyes.

After the blessing we had lunch with over 50 people at Tate’s grandma’s house. And the cake made by Sister Mifflin was just too beautiful to have it cut there for all the crowd to eat.

The family reunion went really well. We had lots of barbecues, activities and get togethers. The highlight of the reunion was probably the trip to the Blue Mountains where everybody was able to stay in the same accommodation and share memorable moments together. Tristan will not remember his first Clarke family reunion but a lot of people will remember it for him, as he was the centre of attention, everybody wanted to hold and play with him.

Regarding Tristan’s growth and development of this month, I can say that he now can roll to and from both sides, he can put himself in the all 4 position but still can’t crawl. However he can get anywhere he wants in a not very conventional way. He wiggles on his back like a worm and move from one side of the cot to the other or all around the lounge room floor. It’s amazing! He is eating well his solids and drinking breastmilk just as the same as before. Sleeping pattern hasn’t changed much, he still wakes up a couple of times in the middle of the night to fill up his tummy. I’m still loving motherhood and can’t have enough of him.

Enjoy the lovely photos!
